First College Exam!

We had our midterm today, and it was a lot easier than anyone had expected. A five paragraph essay and five quote identifications in a hour and fifteen minutes is a breeze when you've been in college for over a week. Hopefully all of our studying and stressing paid off; I'm feeling pretty good about it. My article is going to be published in next week's edition of the Summer Times and I think Lucina's is too (?)

Tonight is Ithaca's Fourth of July Fireworks Celebration - what better way to celebrate a long day, huh?

Relieved,
Theresa

Theresa,

As you know, preparation is the key to all we do in life. I am glad that you had this opportunity to participate in the class as well as work on the Campus Newspaper. I hope when you return to Pinole Valley High School you will share your experiences with the teachers and Ms. Kahn.

Now is the time to redouble your efforts and finish the course off on a strong note. All of you have worked tremendously hard at Cornell and I want all of you to remain pro active and study at your top level. You still have a paper and a Mid Term left to do for the course. I also hope that you will discuss with us your impressions of the campus environment and the lessons that you are learning from the other students.

Also has anyone mentioned their feelings about seeing several students from the same high school. We want to hear if the students from other places have any comments about the fact that we have sent a bus load of kids to this program.

I am also looking forward to reading your campus article. I want to read what you have to say about life on the East Coast. Anyway continue to blog and let us into your world. You all have a little over a week left in the program and before you know it, the time will come for all of you to return home to your family.

Glad that you are having a good time and keep up posted.

Take care.

Theresa,

I'm looking forward to the article. Don't forget the College Fair next week. Start thinking about what is most important to you about the college experience -- so you can ask the right questions to find the colleges that would be the best fit.

Keep up the good work!!
